The Ultimate Asheville Bachelorette Weekend Itinerary

Planning a bachelorette weekend in Asheville, NC? Fantastic! You picked a great place.

Asheville is the kind of destination where you can spend a weekend eating incredible food, exploring downtown, sipping local drinks, enjoying mountain views, and fitting in a little adventure—all without spending the entire weekend in a car.

But with so many restaurants, breweries, wineries, activities, shops, and attractions to choose from, planning the perfect Asheville bachelorette weekend can get overwhelming.

So we’ve done the planning for you.

Here’s our local’s take, on the ideal three-day Asheville bachelorette weekend itinerary that includes a mix of food, drinks, activities, downtime, and plenty of opportunities to celebrate the bride-to-be.

Friday: Arrive, Settle In & Start Celebrating

Check In & Get Settled

After everyone arrives in Asheville, give yourselves a little time to check into your accommodations, unpack, and get ready for the weekend.

Once everyone is settled, it's time to officially start the celebrations…

Dinner in Downtown Asheville.

Kick off the weekend with a fun group dinner! Look for a restaurant with a lively atmosphere and a menu that gives everyone plenty of options. This is a great time to make a reservation, especially if you're traveling with a larger group. Twisted Laurel and Mountain Madre are both great for large groups, while The Rankin Vault would be our choice for a casual, local dive bar vibe. (Voted #1 burger in Asheville!)

Drinks & A Little Asheville Nightlife

After dinner, wander around downtown for drinks.

One of the best things about an Asheville bachelorette weekend is that you don't have to commit to one big nightclub experience. Downtown Asheville has plenty of places where you can grab a cocktail, try a local beer, listen to live music, or simply find a patio and enjoy being together. Some of our personal favorite downtown watering holes are Sovereign Remedies (upscale cocktails), DSSOLVR Brewing (super fun and inventive local beer flavors) or Capella on 9 (gorgeous rooftop views.)

Bachelorette tip: Don't feel like you have to pack every minute of Friday night. The best bachelorette weekends leave a little room for everyone to breathe—and Saturday is going to be your big day, so don’t go too hard ;)

Asheville Bachelorette party itinerary

Saturday: Mountains, Then the Main Event

Saturday is the big day, so why not start it with the thing that makes Asheville special: the mountains vistas.

Saturday Morning: Get Outside

No trip to Asheville is complete without taking advantage of our gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains! Before you spend the afternoon exploring downtown, get out into nature, enjoy a little fresh air and get some epic mountain top photos.

Option 1: Take a Morning Hike

Grab some coffee, lace up your hiking shoes, and head out for a morning hike. You don't need to tackle an all-day mountain adventure. Choose a scenic trail that's manageable for your group and gives you a chance to experience the forests, mountain views, and fresh air that make the Asheville area so special. A morning hike is also a great way to balance out a weekend filled with brunches, cocktails, dinners, and celebrations.

Bachelorette tip: Choose your trail based on your group's fitness level. Luckily Explore Asheville has done the hard work for you… find the perfect hike for your crew via there trail guide here: https://www.exploreasheville.com/things-to-do/outdoors/hiking.

Option 2: Start the Day With Mountain-Top Yoga

Not everyone wants to hike before a full day of celebrating. For a more relaxing start to the morning, look for a mountain-top or outdoor yoga class with Asheville Wellness Tours where your group can stretch, breathe, and take in the scenery. There's something pretty special about starting a bachelorette Saturday with yoga surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains. It's peaceful, beautiful, and gives everyone a chance to wake up before the day's festivities begin.

Then: Brunch & A Little Free Time

After your morning mountain adventure, head back toward Asheville for brunch at the house. This is your chance to refuel, relax, and enjoy a leisurely meal together before the afternoon gets underway. After brunch, leave a little free time for everyone to shower, change, shop, or simply relax. Then it's time for the main event…

Saturday Afternoon: The Bachelorette Detour

Spend the Afternoon Exploring Asheville With Asheville Detours

Asheville Detours Bachelorette Detour

Forget spending your Saturday afternoon trying to herd a large group from one bar to the next, keeping track of reservations, and figuring out what everyone should do between drinks. We've got your afternoon covered.

A Bachelorette Detour with Asheville Detours is a private, curated,  3–3.5-hour adventure through downtown Asheville created specifically for bachelorette groups. Think girls' day out meets Asheville's best local experiences—with a few surprises along the way.

Your group will eat, sip, explore, shop, play, and experience some of the coolest locally owned businesses in Asheville. Your customized Detour might include cocktails, food and drink tastings, gallery tours, terrarium building, aura readings, sweet treats, shopping, and plenty of “wait…what are we doing next?” moments.

And here's the fun part: you don't know exactly where you're going next. Your group works together to solve hand made clues that reveal each stop, turning the afternoon into one big shared adventure. No tour guide leading you around. No boring itinerary to follow. Just your favorite people, a little friendly teamwork, and Asheville waiting around the corner.

It's private, it's completely focused on your group, and it's the perfect way to make Saturday afternoon the part of the bachelorette weekend everyone keeps talking about.

Saturday Evening: Dinner & Nightlife

After your afternoon Detour, you'll probably have worked up an appetite…

Time for a celebratory dinner!

This is a good opportunity to choose somewhere a little more special than Friday night. The Asheville food scene has all kinds of opportunities to make a meal feel extra celebratory. from upscale dining to rooftop restaurants to unparalleled atmosphere, there truly is something for everyone. A few of our top recommendations would be Zambra (farm-to-table tapas with Arabian Nights vibe), Strada Italiano (upscale Italian), Wildwood Still (amazing rooftop ambience paired with excellent fare) and Luminosa (incredible fine dining in the historic Flat Iron Hotel).

If you're celebrating the bride, don't forget to let the restaurant know when you make your reservation. You never know what kind of special touch they might be able to add :)

Keep the Party Going…

Now that you've eaten, celebrated, and had a full Asheville experience during the afternoon, you're ready for a night out. We recommend heading over to a new area of town- South Slope.

South Slope Asheville is located an easy 10-15 walk from downtown Asheville and boasts a WIDE array of local breweries, cocktail bars and fun hangs. It’s quite the vibe on a Saturday night! Swing by Asheville Sports club to grab a drink and try your hand at pickle ball, check out Wicked Weed Funkatorium for unique local brews in a lively atmosphere or swing by Banks Ave Bar for some live music/dancing.

Sunday: Slow Down & Enjoy Asheville

Sunday should be a little more relaxed. You've had a full Friday and Saturday, so don't try to cram another dozen activities into your last day. Instead, pick one or two things your group will really enjoy.

Option 1: Brunch & Shopping

Start with a final Asheville brunch, then spend some time shopping. Asheville is full of locally owned boutiques, galleries, gift shops, and stores featuring Appalachian artists and makers. This is also a great opportunity to pick up a little something for the bride—or a souvenir from the weekend.

Since you spent most of Saturday exploring downtown Asheville, you all might be interested in checking out nearby downtown Black Mountain, Weaverville or Hendersonville. All options have charming mountain town vibes with cute shops and great brunch options.

Option 2: Visit Biltmore

Asheville NC Biltmore Estate

If your group wants to experience one of Asheville's most iconic attractions, spend part of Sunday at Biltmore. Give yourself plenty of time. Between the estate, gardens, restaurants, and grounds, Biltmore can easily become a half-day or full-day activity. It's a particularly good Sunday option if your group wants something beautiful and a little slower-paced after Saturday's festivities.

Option 3: Explore local Vineyards

Join Blue Ridge Wine Tours for a relaxed afternoon exploring Asheville’s local wine country! Each tour includes private transportation from your hotel/Airbnb, a visit to 3 vineyards, wine tastings at each location and a full catered lunch. They take care of all the details so your group can just kick back and enjoy the gorgeous mountain views and mouth-watering vino.

Option 4: Relax & Recharge

There is absolutely nothing wrong with doing less. Book a spa treatment, hang out at the rental house, sit by the pool, or find a beautiful place to enjoy the mountain scenery.

Remember: this is a vacation. Make sure to build in time for relaxation!

A Few Tips for Planning Your Asheville Bachelorette Weekend

Book Your Reservations Early- Asheville is a popular destination, and larger groups can be challenging to accommodate at the last minute. Book your accommodations, brunch, dinners, and major activities as early as possible.

Don't Over-Schedule! - It's tempting to create a minute-by-minute itinerary when you're planning a bachelorette weekend. Resist the urge. Leave time for changing clothes, getting coffee, taking photos, shopping, relaxing, and simply hanging out together.

Think About Transportation- If you're planning to drink, don't rely on everyone driving themselves around. Not to mention, parking downtown can be quite the doozie! Car services like Uber and Lyft are a great option for getting around town.

Make at Least One Activity About Asheville -It's easy to plan a bachelorette weekend that could happen in any city. Dinner. Drinks. Dancing. Brunch. Those are fun anywhere. Make sure you include at least one experience that feels distinctly Asheville—whether that's exploring local businesses downtown, tasting local food and drinks, visiting a mountain vineyard, experiencing the arts, or getting into the Blue Ridge Mountains. That's what you'll remember.

The Ultimate Fall Experience in Asheville: Mountains, Wine & Local Adventures

The Ultimate Fall Experience in Asheville: Mountains, Wine & Local Adventures

There are a lot of ways to experience fall in Asheville, NC—but the best ones involve getting out and actually enjoying it.

When autumn arrives in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Asheville becomes a pretty spectacular place to spend a day. The mountains turn shades of red, orange, and gold, downtown Asheville comes alive with restaurants, breweries, shops, galleries and live music, and the surrounding countryside is begging to be explored.

So if you're planning an Asheville fall getaway, where should you start?

Our advice: do a little bit of everything.

Explore downtown. Get out into the mountains. Eat something delicious. Sip something local. Take the scenic route. And leave enough room in your schedule for the unexpected.

Here’s how we'd spend the ultimate fall day in Asheville.

🍂 Start Your Day Exploring Downtown Asheville

downtown asheville

One of the best things about Asheville is that you don't have to go far to find something interesting.

Start your morning downtown with coffee and breakfast, then take some time to wander. Asheville's compact downtown is filled with colorful murals, historic buildings, independent shops, local art, restaurants and plenty of places to grab a drink.

And don't be afraid to put the map away for a little while.

Some of the best Asheville experiences happen when you turn down a street you haven't explored yet or duck into a shop that catches your eye.

If you're visiting with a group and want to make exploring downtown a little more interesting, consider booking a scavenger hunt tour with Asheville Detours. These “Detours” offer private, self-guided experiences that allow groups to explore Asheville through interactive drink tastings, art gallery tours, terrarium building, chocolate tasting and more! It's especially fun for groups who want something interactive rather than simply following a traditional walking tour.

It's also a great addition to a girls' weekend, birthday trip, family getaway, corporate outing or Asheville bachelorette weekend.

☕ Take Your Time With Asheville's Food & Drink Scene

You can't spend a day in Asheville without eating well.

From casual breakfast spots to creative restaurants, Asheville has earned its reputation as a food destination for a reason.

Fall is also a great excuse to slow down over lunch. Find a patio, order something seasonal, and enjoy the cooler weather before continuing your adventure. Some of our favorite patio spots are Twisted Laurel, Mountain madre or Sovereign Remedies.

And then there's the beer.

Asheville's craft beer scene is legendary, with breweries scattered throughout downtown and the surrounding neighborhoods. Our all time favorite, DSSOLVR brewing has tons of interesting options, fun indoor games and a picturesque courtyard patio. If beer isn't your thing, don't worry—there are plenty of cocktail bars, cideries, distilleries and wine options to explore too.

The key to an Asheville fall day? Don't schedule every minute.

Leave room for a spontaneous brewery stop or that little restaurant you noticed while walking around.

🚗 Get Out of Downtown & Into the Mountains

As beautiful as downtown Asheville is, you haven't really experienced the area until you've seen the mountains.

Fall is one of the most popular times of year to explore the Blue Ridge Parkway and surrounding mountain roads—and for good reason. The scenery can be absolutely incredible.

Take a scenic drive, stop at an overlook, go for a short hike, or simply find a beautiful spot to sit and take it all in.

You don't necessarily need an ambitious hiking itinerary. Some of the best fall experiences around Asheville involve nothing more complicated than a scenic drive and a good view.

Just remember that fall foliage timing varies from year to year and by elevation, so checking out a fall color map before you go is a must.

🍷 Spend an Afternoon in the Vineyards

If you're looking for a more leisurely way to experience the mountains, head toward the area's wineries.

The vineyards surrounding Asheville offer a completely different experience from downtown. Instead of navigating busy streets, you're winding through the countryside, surrounded by mountains and changing leaves.

A private Blue Ridge Wine Tours driving wine tour is one way to turn an afternoon of wine tasting into a full mountain experience.

You'll visit local wineries, enjoy tastings, have lunch, and—perhaps most importantly—let someone else handle the driving.

That means everyone can relax and enjoy the wine, the scenery and the company.

It's a particularly fun option for girls' trips and bachelorette parties, where the goal is usually less about checking things off a list and more about spending a great day together.

And you don't have to be a wine expert.

If you enjoy beautiful scenery, good food, a glass of wine and spending time with your favorite people, you're probably going to have a pretty good time.

📸 Don't Forget the Fall Photos

asheville leaves

You are going to want pictures.

Whether you're visiting Asheville with your partner, your family, your best friends or your entire bachelorette crew, fall in the Blue Ridge Mountains provides plenty of opportunities for memorable photos.

Look for overlooks, colorful streets downtown, mountain backdrops and vineyards surrounded by autumn foliage.

And don't worry about getting the perfect Instagram shot every time.

Some of the best photos are the ones where everyone is laughing, someone isn't looking at the camera and nobody remembers exactly what was happening.

Those tend to be the ones you actually keep.

🍽️ End the Day Back in Asheville

After a full day of exploring, head back downtown for dinner.

This is where Asheville really shines.

Grab dinner somewhere you've been wanting to try, find a cozy cocktail bar, listen to live music or simply wander around and see where the evening takes you.

If you're visiting for a bachelorette party in Asheville, this is also the perfect time to transition from daytime activities into your evening plans.

One of the best things about Asheville is that you can spend the afternoon surrounded by mountains and vineyards and be back downtown for dinner and drinks that same evening.

🍁 The Best Asheville Fall Experiences Don't Have to Be Complicated

You don't need to plan a packed itinerary to have an incredible fall trip to Asheville.

In fact, we'd argue that the opposite is true.

Pick a few things you really want to experience and leave some room for wandering.

That's what makes fall in Asheville so special. You can spend the morning surrounded by art and restaurants downtown, the afternoon overlooking vineyards and mountains, and the evening enjoying Asheville's food and nightlife—all in one day.

Whether you're planning a romantic weekend, a girls' getaway, a bachelorette party, a family vacation or simply a fall trip with friends, Asheville makes it remarkably easy to create your own adventure.

Come for the fall colors. Stay for everything else. 🍂

Why a Scavenger Hunt Tour Is the Best Team Building Activity in Asheville

Team building tour asheville

If you’re planning a corporate retreat, company outing, or leadership getaway, finding the right team building activity in Asheville can feel overwhelming. You want something engaging. Something memorable. Something that gets your team out of the conference room and actually connecting.

Here’s why a private scavenger with Asheville Detours might be exactly what your team needs!

1. It Gets Your Team Out From Behind Screens

Art gallery tour asheville, NC

Most corporate retreats still revolve around meetings, slide decks, and breakout sessions. But real connection doesn’t happen under fluorescent lights — it happens through shared experiences.

A guided scavenger hunt in downtown Asheville gets your team:

  • Walking and talking

  • Solving creative challenges together

  • Discovering hidden corners of the city

  • Laughing (a lot)!

Instead of forced icebreakers, your group bonds naturally through teamwork and friendly competition.

2. It Encourages Real Collaboration (Not Just Small Talk)

Great team building activities in Asheville should encourage:

  • Communication

  • Strategy

  • Problem-solving

  • Leadership development

A scavenger hunt does all of that — without feeling like a training exercise.

It’s organic collaboration in action.

3. It Showcases the Best of Downtown Asheville

Corporate groups don’t just want a “game.” They want an experience that feels local and memorable.

Unlike traditional activities, a curated scavenger hunt introduces your team to:

  • Hidden gems off the main tourist paths

  • Unique tours of and insight into local establishments

  • Food and drink tastings

  • Activities with mementos to take home such as pottery painting and terrarium building

  • Interactive group competitions

If your retreat includes visits to places like Biltmore Estate, a scavenger hunt offers a completely different way to experience the city — interactive instead of observational.

4. It Works for Large and Small Corporate Groups

Whether you’re planning for:

  • 10 executives

  • 25 sales team members

  • 50+ conference attendees

A private scavenger hunt scales beautifully.

Groups can be divided into teams, compete for prizes, and end at a celebratory location — making it perfect for:

  • Leadership retreats

  • Sales kickoffs

  • Annual meetings

  • Conference breakouts

  • Holiday parties

5. It’s Fully Customizable for Your Company

One of the biggest advantages of a private team building event in Asheville is customization.

Your experience can include:

  • Choice of stops to suit your group

  • Customizable tour lengths and starting times

  • Industry-themed clues

  • A custom start or end location

6. It Supports Local Asheville Businesses

More companies are looking for socially conscious retreat options. A scavenger hunt that highlights independent businesses and local makers gives your event a deeper impact.

Instead of funneling your entire budget into one venue, we ensure your team interacts with small, locally owned businesses throughout downtown Asheville — strengthening the local economy while creating a more authentic experience.

7. It’s Memorable (Which Is the Whole Point)

Let’s be honest — most team building activities are forgotten by Monday.

But an afternoon exploring hidden alleyways, solving interactive clues, laughing over photo challenges, and discovering the unexpected? That sticks.

And when your team leaves Asheville talking about the experience instead of the PowerPoint slides, you know you chose the right activity.

Planning a Corporate Retreat in Asheville?

If you’re searching for:

  • Team building activities in Asheville

  • Corporate retreat ideas in downtown Asheville

  • Large group activities in Asheville NC

  • Unique company outing ideas

A private scavenger hunt offers the perfect mix of fun, strategy, local culture, and meaningful connection.

1) Book The Perfect Stay

This is not just where you’ll lay your head. Late night snacks and morning coffee bonding will happen here, so this decision is important… and there are really a few different ways you can go:

The accessible size of Asheville’s downtown makes it ideal for walkable explorations- meaning if you stay in this area you can essentially park your car and forget about it for the weekend. Even better, most of the newer hotels boast rooftop bars with stunning views.
