Creating The Ultimate Asheville Bachelorette Weekend

So your best girl is getting hitched and is dreaming of a mountain get away to celebrate her big day… we know it can be (more than) a little daunting to start planning a trip in a city so full of adventure- especially in groups with inevitably varying interests. SO for you, our travel savvy bachelorettes, we’ve compiled some tips and tricks to make sure this celebratory vacation will be an adventure to remember!
1) Book The Perfect Stay
This is not just where you’ll lay your head. Late night snacks and morning coffee bonding will happen here, so this decision is important… and there are really a few different ways you can go:
B) The mountainside retreat
For the group wanting to fully immerse in the mountain experience, a cabin with a view really can not be beat. We are lucky to be surrounded by stunning scenery, and both Airbnb and VRBO have MANY options within a 15-20 minute drive to downtown. Explore downtown during the day then return home for a glass of wine by the fire in the evening. Perfection.
B) Book a hotel in Downtown
Downtown has undergone a small hotel renaissance in the last few years, which is great news for those wanting to stay in the heart of the action. The accessible size of Asheville’s downtown makes it ideal for walkable explorations- meaning if you stay in this area you can essentially park your car and forget about it for the weekend. Even better, most of the newer hotels boast rooftop bars with stunning views. (Which you should make sure to park yourselves on one for sunset while you’re in town- regardless of where you’re staying.) One of our personal favorites as far as location and great rooftop bar/restaurant is The Cambria.
3) Book a stay designed especially for bachelorette groups!
Upstream way has really gone all out with the gorgeous “Upstream bachelorette Oasis”. With 6 bedrooms and 13 beds, this home sleeps 16+ and is designed especially for bachelorette groups or large parties for special occasions. Spectacular modern, eco-friendly house with hot tub. Amazing views of French Broad River the Biltmore Estate. Located just a few minutes from the River Arts District, West Asheville and Downtown Asheville. If you’re looking for a truly memorable bachelorette experience, this is it.
2) Make Time to Explore the City
Looking for a unique way to explore Downtown Asheville?? Join Asheville Detours for a scavenger hunt tour designed specifically for bachelorette parties. The “Bachelorette Detour” uses clues and a curated map of downtown to send your group on an adventure of wine tastings, photo shoots, group crafting projects, chocolate and more! Tours are self-guided, ensuring an interactive and private experience.
Downtown Asheville is FULL of things to see and do.Your group can easily spend an entire afternoon wandering around the colorful streets checking out our eclectic shops and talented street artists.
3) Eat and Drink All the Things!
Easy to do in a town simultaneously dubbed “Foodtopia” and “Beer City USA.” Beer lovers look no further than our South Slope brewing district; which conveniently houses 10+ breweries all within stumbling distance of each other. Some of our favorites are Bhramari, Burial and Asheville Brewing. For those wanting to branch out from beer, a few of our recommended Asheville bars are Sovereign Remedies (best cocktails), Battery Park Book Exchange and Champagne Bar (Best atmosphere), and The Montford roof top bar (best view).
As far as food- this is where Asheville really shines, and you can’t throw a fork without hitting a James Beard nominated restaurant. Some of our favorite places for a celebratory meal are Zambra Wine and Tapas, Strada Italiano and Daphne at Twisted Laurel. And if you’re still have trouble deciding, Eating Asheville has got you covered… offering daily walking food tours, their downtown excursions visit many of Asheville’s best restaurants and are as informative as they are delicious!
Don’t forget to satisfy your sweet tooth!! Did you know that French Broad Chocolates was just voted the best thing to eat in our country by Good morning America?? We are also huge fans of The Chocolate Fetish, Asheville Chocolate and Kilwins. Nom.
4) Sweat off all the things you just ate and drank…
A perfect Asheville bachelorette weekend is all about balance. Lucky for you Asheville has just as many options for wellness as it does for um…partyness. With countless trails, gyms and yoga studios there is something for everyone. Below are a few places to get your sweat on that cater specifically to private bachelorette parties:
Asheville Dance Club- Offers private group dance classes for bachelorette parties. your group can choose between a Pole Dance, Burlesque, Sexy Chair or Hip Hop Dance class. Classes can include props, costumes and champagne!
