The Ultimate Asheville Bachelorette Weekend Itinerary
/Planning a bachelorette weekend in Asheville, NC? Fantastic! You picked a great place.
Asheville is the kind of destination where you can spend a weekend eating incredible food, exploring downtown, sipping local drinks, enjoying mountain views, and fitting in a little adventure—all without spending the entire weekend in a car.
But with so many restaurants, breweries, wineries, activities, shops, and attractions to choose from, planning the perfect Asheville bachelorette weekend can get overwhelming.
So we’ve done the planning for you.
Here’s our local’s take, on the ideal three-day Asheville bachelorette weekend itinerary that includes a mix of food, drinks, activities, downtime, and plenty of opportunities to celebrate the bride-to-be.
Friday: Arrive, Settle In & Start Celebrating
Check In & Get Settled
After everyone arrives in Asheville, give yourselves a little time to check into your accommodations, unpack, and get ready for the weekend.
Once everyone is settled, it's time to officially start the celebrations…
Dinner in Downtown Asheville.
Kick off the weekend with a fun group dinner! Look for a restaurant with a lively atmosphere and a menu that gives everyone plenty of options. This is a great time to make a reservation, especially if you're traveling with a larger group. Twisted Laurel and Mountain Madre are both great for large groups, while The Rankin Vault would be our choice for a casual, local dive bar vibe. (Voted #1 burger in Asheville!)
Drinks & A Little Asheville Nightlife
After dinner, wander around downtown for drinks.
One of the best things about an Asheville bachelorette weekend is that you don't have to commit to one big nightclub experience. Downtown Asheville has plenty of places where you can grab a cocktail, try a local beer, listen to live music, or simply find a patio and enjoy being together. Some of our personal favorite downtown watering holes are Sovereign Remedies (upscale cocktails), DSSOLVR Brewing (super fun and inventive local beer flavors) or Capella on 9 (gorgeous rooftop views.)
Bachelorette tip: Don't feel like you have to pack every minute of Friday night. The best bachelorette weekends leave a little room for everyone to breathe—and Saturday is going to be your big day, so don’t go too hard ;)
Saturday: Mountains, Then the Main Event
Saturday is the big day, so why not start it with the thing that makes Asheville special: the mountains vistas.
Saturday Morning: Get Outside
No trip to Asheville is complete without taking advantage of our gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains! Before you spend the afternoon exploring downtown, get out into nature, enjoy a little fresh air and get some epic mountain top photos.
Option 1: Take a Morning Hike
Grab some coffee, lace up your hiking shoes, and head out for a morning hike. You don't need to tackle an all-day mountain adventure. Choose a scenic trail that's manageable for your group and gives you a chance to experience the forests, mountain views, and fresh air that make the Asheville area so special. A morning hike is also a great way to balance out a weekend filled with brunches, cocktails, dinners, and celebrations.
Bachelorette tip: Choose your trail based on your group's fitness level. Luckily Explore Asheville has done the hard work for you… find the perfect hike for your crew via there trail guide here: https://www.exploreasheville.com/things-to-do/outdoors/hiking.
Option 2: Start the Day With Mountain-Top Yoga
Not everyone wants to hike before a full day of celebrating. For a more relaxing start to the morning, look for a mountain-top or outdoor yoga class with Asheville Wellness Tours where your group can stretch, breathe, and take in the scenery. There's something pretty special about starting a bachelorette Saturday with yoga surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains. It's peaceful, beautiful, and gives everyone a chance to wake up before the day's festivities begin.
Then: Brunch & A Little Free Time
After your morning mountain adventure, head back toward Asheville for brunch at the house. This is your chance to refuel, relax, and enjoy a leisurely meal together before the afternoon gets underway. After brunch, leave a little free time for everyone to shower, change, shop, or simply relax. Then it's time for the main event…
Saturday Afternoon: The Bachelorette Detour
Spend the Afternoon Exploring Asheville With Asheville Detours
Forget spending your Saturday afternoon trying to herd a large group from one bar to the next, keeping track of reservations, and figuring out what everyone should do between drinks. We've got your afternoon covered.
A Bachelorette Detour with Asheville Detours is a private, curated, 3–3.5-hour adventure through downtown Asheville created specifically for bachelorette groups. Think girls' day out meets Asheville's best local experiences—with a few surprises along the way.
Your group will eat, sip, explore, shop, play, and experience some of the coolest locally owned businesses in Asheville. Your customized Detour might include cocktails, food and drink tastings, gallery tours, terrarium building, aura readings, sweet treats, shopping, and plenty of “wait…what are we doing next?” moments.
And here's the fun part: you don't know exactly where you're going next. Your group works together to solve hand made clues that reveal each stop, turning the afternoon into one big shared adventure. No tour guide leading you around. No boring itinerary to follow. Just your favorite people, a little friendly teamwork, and Asheville waiting around the corner.
It's private, it's completely focused on your group, and it's the perfect way to make Saturday afternoon the part of the bachelorette weekend everyone keeps talking about.
Saturday Evening: Dinner & Nightlife
After your afternoon Detour, you'll probably have worked up an appetite…
Time for a celebratory dinner!
This is a good opportunity to choose somewhere a little more special than Friday night. The Asheville food scene has all kinds of opportunities to make a meal feel extra celebratory. from upscale dining to rooftop restaurants to unparalleled atmosphere, there truly is something for everyone. A few of our top recommendations would be Zambra (farm-to-table tapas with Arabian Nights vibe), Strada Italiano (upscale Italian), Wildwood Still (amazing rooftop ambience paired with excellent fare) and Luminosa (incredible fine dining in the historic Flat Iron Hotel).
If you're celebrating the bride, don't forget to let the restaurant know when you make your reservation. You never know what kind of special touch they might be able to add :)
Keep the Party Going…
Now that you've eaten, celebrated, and had a full Asheville experience during the afternoon, you're ready for a night out. We recommend heading over to a new area of town- South Slope.
South Slope Asheville is located an easy 10-15 walk from downtown Asheville and boasts a WIDE array of local breweries, cocktail bars and fun hangs. It’s quite the vibe on a Saturday night! Swing by Asheville Sports club to grab a drink and try your hand at pickle ball, check out Wicked Weed Funkatorium for unique local brews in a lively atmosphere or swing by Banks Ave Bar for some live music/dancing.
Sunday: Slow Down & Enjoy Asheville
Sunday should be a little more relaxed. You've had a full Friday and Saturday, so don't try to cram another dozen activities into your last day. Instead, pick one or two things your group will really enjoy.
Option 1: Brunch & Shopping
Start with a final Asheville brunch, then spend some time shopping. Asheville is full of locally owned boutiques, galleries, gift shops, and stores featuring Appalachian artists and makers. This is also a great opportunity to pick up a little something for the bride—or a souvenir from the weekend.
Since you spent most of Saturday exploring downtown Asheville, you all might be interested in checking out nearby downtown Black Mountain, Weaverville or Hendersonville. All options have charming mountain town vibes with cute shops and great brunch options.
Option 2: Visit Biltmore
If your group wants to experience one of Asheville's most iconic attractions, spend part of Sunday at Biltmore. Give yourself plenty of time. Between the estate, gardens, restaurants, and grounds, Biltmore can easily become a half-day or full-day activity. It's a particularly good Sunday option if your group wants something beautiful and a little slower-paced after Saturday's festivities.
Option 3: Explore local Vineyards
Join Blue Ridge Wine Tours for a relaxed afternoon exploring Asheville’s local wine country! Each tour includes private transportation from your hotel/Airbnb, a visit to 3 vineyards, wine tastings at each location and a full catered lunch. They take care of all the details so your group can just kick back and enjoy the gorgeous mountain views and mouth-watering vino.
Option 4: Relax & Recharge
There is absolutely nothing wrong with doing less. Book a spa treatment, hang out at the rental house, sit by the pool, or find a beautiful place to enjoy the mountain scenery.
Remember: this is a vacation. Make sure to build in time for relaxation!
A Few Tips for Planning Your Asheville Bachelorette Weekend
Book Your Reservations Early- Asheville is a popular destination, and larger groups can be challenging to accommodate at the last minute. Book your accommodations, brunch, dinners, and major activities as early as possible.
Don't Over-Schedule! - It's tempting to create a minute-by-minute itinerary when you're planning a bachelorette weekend. Resist the urge. Leave time for changing clothes, getting coffee, taking photos, shopping, relaxing, and simply hanging out together.
Think About Transportation- If you're planning to drink, don't rely on everyone driving themselves around. Not to mention, parking downtown can be quite the doozie! Car services like Uber and Lyft are a great option for getting around town.
Make at Least One Activity About Asheville -It's easy to plan a bachelorette weekend that could happen in any city. Dinner. Drinks. Dancing. Brunch. Those are fun anywhere. Make sure you include at least one experience that feels distinctly Asheville—whether that's exploring local businesses downtown, tasting local food and drinks, visiting a mountain vineyard, experiencing the arts, or getting into the Blue Ridge Mountains. That's what you'll remember.
